How many religions today are monothestic?

Add comments

Are there any more than the below?

Judaism
Christianity (kind of)
Islam
Bahai
Zoroastrianism
Hindu (kind of)
Akhenaton’s (died out)

- Buddhism (this is arguable, but Baha’u'llah, the Founder of the Baha’i Faith, recognizes Buddha as one Prophet of God).
- Sabean (not Akhenaton)
Believers of the Sabean religion are still existing in the area of Mesopotamia.

I can’t think of any more. But Christianity isn’t "kind of" monotheistic, it IS monotheistic.

Most christians define their triune god as one god.

Yet they deny the hindu trimurti of Vishnu, Siva and Brahma as one god.

    Go figure.

Christianity claims to be but in fact is polytheist. Hinduism is officially recognized as polytheist but there are elements in Hinduism which reflect monotheism.

Islam and Judaism are strictly monotheistic. Don’t have knowledge about the rest. And yes, Sikhism is also monotheistic.

Hinduism one step ahead of monotheism. It is monist. It accepts Brahma as the only Ultimate Reality.

Ah now this is a good one what about the other 600 religions that are still in practised around the world. Like the Dream Time and contained in that particular one there is about 100,000 off shoots that are different all together. Then there is the American Indians who still believe in the Sun God and the Buffalo Gods and then there is all those South American Indians that believe in just about everything that walks through the forests of spiritual darkness.

Then there is the Ice smokers who trip out on anything like Zorah indeed. Yep and life keeps on going around and around there Mick of Constantinople.
