Can someone explain the prophecy the oracle gave to Roland in The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger?
1 Comment »I can keep up with the way Stephen King writes in the rest of the book (it is rather advanced) but the way Roland and the Oracle were talking was just beyond insane, i couldnt understand it. Could someone please explain to me in detail the prophecy the oracle gave to Roland?
I could but it might ruin your enjoyment of the next book. Based on what I can find out (I’ve lent my copy to someone so having to find what was said on the net), it generally refers firstly to ‘the three’ yes? That is to do with the next book, The Drawing of the Three and you will understand it all after reading that.
The other bit is to do with how Jake is linked to the man in black. This is pretty much referring to the choice Roland has to make in the mountains and saying that if he breaks the chain he must also forfeit his quest for the tower.

Okay, what am I supposed to put that will make sense and not sound stupid when it comes to making a prophecy?
4 Comments »Okay, in my book, there is a boy (mentioned in the prophecy, that is supposed to destroy an evil king. Or at least, that’s what everyone thinks, until the night when there are ‘twins’ born. Both of them are supposed to destroy the king together, even when one of them is captured by the king and raised to be evil.
I need help coming up with a prophecy to put in my book, with at least 4 lines. Help?
While your premise seems somewhat antiquated and cliche to the fantasy genre, the way you write it will determine whether or not your readers believe so themselves. Depending on whether your people are religious, it could come in the form of a divine message or hidden writing. If it is spoken from the lips of a seer, it might be a poem.
What you do in this instance really is up to you and the world of your story.

I am doing an informative speech and the problem is that ther is so much information on the topic I am not sure which three points to focus on. Does anybody have any tips on the matter. What would you like to know about the prophecy?
Regardless if it is a prophecy or not I am still needing to do a speech on it.
To begin with, the Mayans never made any prophecy, at least not about there being a doomsday in 2012. Your best bet is to choose 3 of the most nutty predictions (hint: all the predictions of doom are false) and then debunk them. Use the site below. There’s plenty of information there.
