What’s the difference between the illuminati and the freemason?

Are they the same thing? I know that both the illuminati and the freemasons both worship satan but i’m confused about the connection between them. Can i get some clarification?

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I don’t know too much about the illuminati except their are 13 wealthy bloodlines that experts claim are the illuminati. But I do know about freemasonry. See what most masons and people who are uneducated with it don’t realize is that it is a religion. A pagan religion to be precise. You may ask why 90% of the masons don’t know this. It is because they do not know what they are getting themselves into when they join. You have to understand that there are degrees in masonry, and that most masons will not go past the third degree of the blue lodge, which means their pursuit of advancing degrees in masonry ends at master mason(3rd degree). Once they advance in the Scottish Rite 10th…20th…30th degree is when they start learning little by little what freemasonry is really all about. Which is the pagan worship of three gods jehovah, baal (fertility god of baalbek in lebanon), and Osiris (the egyptian sun god). At these later degrees they also start learning about the truth behind the masonic rituals and the square and compass. But you can’t blame these masons that come on Yahoo answers and defend themselves by claiming that their fraternity is pure and nonreligious. They are telling the truth as far as they know, because they haven’t been educated yet with the facts behind their fraternity. Now some people even claim that the masons are affiliated with a satanic agenda and "New World Order". I could see their logic behind this claim. See most masons are good people. They do charity, practice honesty, and try to be sincere human beings. However like I said this is just an illusion that the lower degrees don’t realize. It is really a sick organization once you start learning the truth and motives behind this fraternity. There are a lot of evil occurences that have direct traces to freemasonry. This is due to the numerology behind the acts. I’m not saying they are for sure 100% masonic acts but they have obvious masonic parallels. I will give you two examples for start. The 9/11 "terrorist" attacks and the John F. Kennedy assassination.
